Extract colors from real images carefully

Image picking is useful when a brand photo, product shot, illustration, or screenshot already contains the visual direction you want. The best result usually comes from sampling several nearby pixels and choosing a color that works in UI, not just the first attractive pixel.

Step 1

Upload an image that you are allowed to use and that represents the product, brand, or mood you are designing around.

Step 2

Click several areas of the canvas to compare highlight, mid-tone, and shadow colors.

Step 3

Send the chosen HEX to palette or export tools so it becomes reusable instead of staying as a one-off sample.

Step 4

Check contrast if the sampled color will become text, buttons, links, or notification badges.

FAQ

Why does the picked color differ from what I see?

Images may include compression, shadows, transparency, and color management differences. Pick several pixels and choose the most usable result.

Is the image uploaded to a server?

No. The image is read in the browser and drawn to a local canvas for sampling.

Can I use any image?

Use images you own or have permission to analyze, especially when the sampled color will be used in commercial work.

What should I do after picking a color?

Open the palette or export tool from the picked color and define how it will be used in the interface.
